PE-Fund: Lean Operations
As Head of Operations EMEA at Bibliotheca, I introduced a lean Operations organization through select centralization, the introduction of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and supporting IT systems. This resulted in a single-digit USD m results improvement and 20% FTE synergies.

My direct report, the Global Spare Part & Refurbishing Manager, and I designed a database for warehousing & purchasing optimization for spare part management. We collected and analyzed precious data from company reports, in-field operations, and part manufacturers to ensure local part availability while optimizing Working Capital.

By introducing an all-company KPI that focused on significantly reducing client issue resolution time, my team and I grew the global client case resolution performance by lifting the 24h client support SLA responsiveness from 47% to >85%. We achieved that through root-cause analysis and a culture shift to "laser focus" on product and process quality to meet client expectations.
The UK & Ireland organization required a complete revamp of its sales, client service, and Order-to-Cash processes due to low productivity and consistent quality issues. By following Lean Six Sigma principles, my team and I streamlined the process landscape, introduced a stage gate approval process, and put a daily routine in place that led to significantly higher productivity, project delivery quality, and client satisfaction.
Global Post-Merger Integration
For the Bibliotheca/ 3M Library Systems merger, I led the PMI agenda for EMEA + APAC to form the global leader in library system solutions. I closely worked with regional and local managers and their teams to ensure a safe data transition, their core process alignment, a swift return to performance, clear client communication, and a strong team culture as basis for future success.
Executive Team Building
As Company Secretary, I helped the Executive Committee spread across three continents and four countries to develop a consistent management approach, governance framework, and company culture.
I also supported the Group HR Director to develop a leadership team in Asia-Pacific and establish the underlying management process.
ORG Design for Growth
For the company's regional leader, I designed the EMEA region’s growth-focused organization for a US-listed consumer goods manufacturer in the Lifestyle area, incl. the implementation plan: e.g., the management level design for high customer centricity as well as the integration + growth of a new business field now spread and established across Europe.
Member Board of Directors
I took responsibility and represented the firm as member of the Board of Directors of bibliotheca Switzerland AG, part of Bibliotheca Group and the holding company for most countries except the US, the UK, and France. As Company Secretary, I was managing Governance, Investor and Lender Relations, Compliance and other legal topics for the Chairman, CEO, and CFO.
